Belize is a tiny country in Central America, the only country there where English is the official language. Belize is probably not like any other place you’ve ever been. Despite the palm trees, frost-free climate, and slow pace of daily life, it’s not a land where the living is always easy. Belize is also scattered with numerous small offshore Cayes – the best way to visit is by sailing boat.

Belize is also home to an amazing array of flora and fauna. The national animal is the Baird’s Tapir which resembles an elephantine hippopotamus, and the national bird is the vibrant Keel-billed Toucan. Belize is located at the Caribbean coast, nestled between Mexico City and Antigua Guatemala and offers an intriguing mix of tropical forests rich with wildlife, majestic 3,675 foot mountains, Maya temples, and interesting diving and fishing possibilities. In a single day you can go from tropical forest to the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere.
